Description

Carved totem pole

Additional Information

Retired postal worker, Harlan Skeers, created this totem pole from a cottonwood log and gifted it to the Florence Library. The top of the totem depicts and eagle, then a Native American, then a pioneer and then a little girl reading a book. Skeers says he left the bottom 6 feet of the totem pole plain "for people to carve their own images".
